Terms of service
Last updated 3 November 2026
1. Who you agree with
These terms are an agreement between the studio that uses Foye ("you") and Rae Agency (business ID 2296682-6), Runeberginkatu 17, 00100 Helsinki, Finland ("Foye", "we"). The person who registers a studio accepts them for the studio and confirms they may do so.
Foye is a client front desk for creative studios: each client gets one place for their process, files, Discovery and brand guidelines, and the studio runs it from its own workspace. Foye is a technology provider. It is not a law firm, an accountant or a design agency, and what your studio delivers to its clients is between you and them.
Our privacy policy says what personal data Foye handles and why. Where Foye handles your clients' personal data for you, our data processing agreement applies, and we send it to you on request.
2. Accounts
- Foye is for business use. Everyone who uses a studio's workspace must be at least 18.
- Keep your team's details accurate and your sign-in methods to yourselves. You are responsible for what happens in your studio's workspace, including what your team members do.
- Your studio's owner adds and removes team members. Everyone on the team can see and work on all of your studio's clients.
- Your clients' contacts sign in to their own space with links sent to their email. They do not agree to these terms; you are responsible for inviting the right people and for what you share with them.
3. Plans and fees
- Foye's plans and their prices are on our pricing page. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Your studio's plan and its limits (team seats, storage and the AI included each month) are on its Plan & usage page.
- Setting up a studio is free and needs no card. When your studio publishes its first project it chooses a plan and adds a card; nothing is charged for 30 days, and cancelling before then costs nothing. The free month is for a studio's first plan.
- Payments are handled by Paddle (paddle.com), which sells Foye's plans to you as our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle charges your card, sends your invoices and receipts, and handles sales tax. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase as well as these terms.
- Plans renew automatically each month or year, as you chose, until you cancel. Your studio's owner can cancel at any time from Plan & usage. The plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and your studio does not renew.
- We do not refund unused time. We may refund a payment at our discretion, for example when a fault on our side kept your studio from using Foye. Nothing here limits a right to a refund that the law gives you.
- When a payment fails, your studio enters a grace period while Paddle tries again: you cannot start new clients or publish new work, but everything already shared with your clients keeps working. If the payment still fails, your plan ends.
- When a plan ends, your studio becomes read-only: everything stays visible and downloadable, and your clients keep the spaces you published. Website checks pause, and their reports are not shown to the studio or in client spaces, until a plan is chosen. The studio's data is deleted when the owner asks us to, within 30 days, or after 24 months without anyone signing in to the studio, as section 10 describes. Before a deletion for inactivity, we write to the owner 30, 7 and 1 days ahead.
- A studio in early access uses Foye free of charge within the limits on its Plan & usage page. We will tell you at least 30 days before any fee starts for an early-access studio, and you can leave before it does.
- We may change prices. A new price applies to your studio from its next renewal after we have told you, at least 30 days ahead.
4. Using Foye
We give your studio a limited, non-transferable right to use Foye for its own business while these terms are in force. You must not:
- copy, resell or sublicense Foye, or use it to build a competing product;
- reverse engineer it, get around its limits or security, or reach another studio's data;
- send unlawful, harmful or misleading content through it, or use it for spam;
- load it in a way that harms the service for others.
5. Your content and your clients
- Your studio and your clients keep ownership of everything you put into Foye: client details, files, documents, brand guidelines, messages and answers.
- You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and show that content only to run Foye for you, and to keep it safe and backed up.
- You confirm you have the right to put your clients' information and files into Foye and to share them with the people you invite.
- Foye checks that each uploaded file is the kind of file its name says, but it does not scan files for viruses. Open files from people you don't know with the same care you would anywhere else.
- For your clients' personal data, your studio decides what happens with it and Foye handles it on your behalf, as our data processing agreement sets out.
6. Your clients' space
- Your clients see Foye under your studio's name: their space and the emails Foye sends them for you carry your studio's name and logo.
- Nothing reaches a client until someone at your studio shares it. You are responsible for what you share and for what you promise your clients.
- Your client's contacts can invite coworkers to their own space (up to 10), and remove those they invited.
7. AI features and agents
- Some features draft text with an AI model, for example a brand strategy from Discovery answers. AI drafts can be wrong or unsuitable: review them before you rely on them or send them to a client. AI use is limited by your plan.
- You can connect AI agents (for example your own Claude or ChatGPT) to your studio with tokens you create. An agent acts for your studio with the access you gave its token, and you are responsible for what it does. Agents propose; a person at your studio publishes. No token can publish.
8. Connected services
- You can connect services such as Google Drive and Google Calendar, and Google Search Console where Foye offers it to your studio. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and Foye uses what they share only as our privacy policy says.
- Website checks look at a client's public website. Only add sites you have the right to have checked.
- We are not responsible for services run by others, or for changes they make that affect Foye.
9. Our service
- We own Foye: its software, design, text and the Foye name and mark. These terms give you no rights in them beyond section 4.
- Foye is in early access and changes often. We may add, change or remove features. We will tell you before we remove something your studio relies on, and help you export what is affected.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely.
10. Ending
- You can stop using Foye at any time. Cancelling your plan (section 3) stops it renewing. Before you go, you can export your clients' data from Foye. When your studio's owner asks us to delete the studio, we schedule it and its data is deleted within 30 days (you can change your mind until then), and backups age it out within their retention period, unless the law requires us to keep something. A studio whose plan has ended and that has had no sign-in for 24 months is deleted the same way, after we write to the owner.
- We may suspend or end a studio's use of Foye if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. We will tell you why, and give you the chance to export unless the law or the risk to others prevents it.
- We may end the service as a whole with at least 60 days' notice, and you will be able to export your data during that time.
11. No guarantees
We work to keep Foye available, secure and correct, but we provide it as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it suits a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
12. Liability
- Neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data that could have been avoided with backups.
- Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees your studio paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 euros if it paid nothing.
- You will cover our costs from claims by others that arise from your content, your dealings with your clients, or your breach of these terms.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
13. Changes and the law
- We may update these terms. We will tell your studio's owner by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect; using Foye after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can leave and export your data.
- These terms are governed by Finnish law, and disputes go to the Helsinki District Court.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Foye, with notice to you. You may not transfer them without our agreement.
